Once upon a time

A project based on two memory boxes which have been built up over 18 years. I collect souvenirs that are then gathered into my memory boxes, these items take me back to a place just like photographs do. Because I can't smell, each individual item takes me straight back there more texturally than visually — just as a scent memory would. My mum started these boxes with the family photographs and baby scans. Once I knew I couldn’t smell it became normal to collect things over the years and hopefully these boxes can be passed down like an inheritance. These days I can be too picky with what I put in my boxes, is it worth keeping ? Are my future children really going to want my ‘adventure wrist ticket’ ? Does the item look appealing ?
